While Campfire Critters is closed to the public, we have partnered with our campground to allow campground guests to visit with the animals during short, scheduled petting zoo and pony ride times. This interaction is beneficial for the animals as it helps with their social skills and desensitization to things some of them may have not seen before like bikes, strollers, small children, dogs, golf carts, etc. We take great care in our animal/people interactions so that it is always safe and positive for everyone involved. Our trained campground staff always enforces strict safety rules like no running, no feeding the animals, all participants must have shoes on, and children must be supervised by a responsible adult.
